Community members gathered outside Sen. Martin Heinrich’s (D) office in downtown Albuquerque on Sept. 10 to protest against Palantir, a tech company that powers mass surveillance technologies. The “Purge Palantir” pledge calls on congressional candidates to reject campaign contributions from Palantir Technologies, their employees, and its political action committee. Organizers raised concerns about previous contributions that Sen. Heinrich accepted from Palantir in 2024. In a statement shared with Courier New Mexico, a spokesperson for Sen. Heinrich said he will not accept “any contributions from Palantir or individuals in leadership at Palantir in this cycle or going forward.”
